It’s been a while since I drew some Avengers Academy stuff and because I updated pretty much all my designs this year I thought it would be nice to update them as well, while trying something new. So have these two idiots having some good time together. I absolutly adore AvAc and everyday I miss this game. It's one of the best Sam we ever got. For those of you who aren't familiar with this now dead mobile game, Avengers Academy was a basic "what if Marvel characters were teenagers/young adults attempting an Avengers school". It was very simple but the writing was really good. Very fun, very in characters also (which is an awfully complicated exercice, writing a parody of this kind, a character who's true to their original self while being fun and not insulting) Sam was the very first villain introduced into AvAc, but eventually he joined the academy and developped a cute friendship with Bruce. His writing was very very similar to Megamind, actually, making me think it was the main inspiration. In the way he was a redeemed villain who was villain because he thought it was his destiny, orphan, developping a weird clingy relationship with his rival, not understanding sarcasm etc... Unlike other characters and thanks to his gamma brain, however, he became a teacher, not a student. So he was this very grumpy teacher who feel incredibly annoyed near his student but who would kill anyone who dare touching one of them. I like drawing them with a cute artstyle to make them look younger, because they're supposed to be, so it's very veeeeeeery different from what they looked like in the game lol.
