Mega Gengar Shiny (Pokemon)

I love Pokemon, deeply. I met my fiance through Pokemon, I spend a lot of time playing Pokemon and shiny hunting. But drawing Pokemon is complicated, their very specific artstyle is also their strength. So as much as I love Pokemon and Pokemon arts, I personally don't find a lot of joy is drawing them, in the way that it's not "me" enough. No matter what I draw, even the silliest little fanart, I need to reinterpret and draw it in my own way. But with Pokemon it's complicated, not a lot of Pokemon can fit that exercise, that's why I usually rather draw trainers.

Gengar is my fav Pokemon (I'm not very original with this one, but that's because I love toxic type Pokemon) and I specifically love the Mega form because like I said I'm also a shiny hunter and unfortunatly Gengar's shiny form is almost identical to its original form. In his mega form, however, it's white and I love the vibe. I miss Mega Evolution, it was a very cool addition to Pokemon, but apparently they're coming back in the next Pokemon game and I thought it would be a nice excuse to draw that big boy! It's easier to adapt him to another artstyle because the point is he's supposed to be scary and creepy, so that's what I tried to do here. It was super fun to do
