Stone Tower Theme Epic Folk Version - Big Hat

This is also a redraw and what a redraw. It took me a few years to finish it, this is one of the only art I did in 10 years when I was sick. I had to drop out school when it went too bad and I lost a lot of friends in the process. I mean, when you're young you want to party, not to take care of a person who could die at any moment and prevent you from having your fun. Except for one friend. If you're French you might know her because she's a famous youtuber/streamer now, Juli. She would often come over, visit me at hospital even if it scared the shit out of her. At some point she gave me her Nintendo GameCube with the Zelda CD that had Majora's Mask on it so I could play her fav game and forget about my condition. It quickly became one of my fav game ever (2nd, right after Super Metroid haha). This is also the first digital art I ever did. I remember it had over 70 layers haha, what a mess. I made an interesting experiment with this redraw. I had people telling me that the first one was "better". First of all, never tell an artist who's showing you a 10 years difference the first version was "better". In fact don't even tell them you liked it best, even if it's not your purpose you're denying their journey and improvements. Objectiverly the new version is better in everything. Proportions are better, color is better, the moon is better. It even matches the original Majora's Mask artstyle waaaay better. So why did they like the first version more? Easy, it's leaning to a realistic artstyle. It doesn't matter if it's not good, it's realistic. This is a problem we often encounter that is kind of related to Supremacist in Art. I talked about it here so I'm gonna make a whole thesis again but I thought it was interesting to talk about that. On a composition note, I took the famous Termina clock and I put all the transformations according to the position of their respective "places", like a compass if you will. Except for the Deku Link (the wood guy) who's supposed to be south because Link in his normal form had to be there so I put him on the right instead.
