I barely get any Sam commissions (because people know I'll do it for free LOL) but once in a while I do and when I do it's always something I never thought of myself. Being known as the biggest fan ever of this character is super fun and somewhat very flattering, let's be honest. But it's also super boring, in the way that even if there's a few Sam fans, there's not a lot. I'm the only one doing fanarts on a regular basic, I'm the only one sharing headcanons, AUs (Alternate Universe, for people who aren't chronically online it's putting an already existing character in another universe, story etc...) and stuff like that. So I only get my ideas and it's BORING. I want to see other people's vision of Sam, I want to see their ideas as well. But I'm intimidating apparently and people don't feel relevant enough to share their ideas (PLEASE DO SHARE I'M STARVING) and it's not what I want. I want to listen to other people, I want to see other fanarts, I want to read fanfictions. So when I got this commission, I was very happy. The person who wanted this is very very into F1 so they wanted Sam in this universe. I unfortunatly don't have the OG sketch from the customer anymore (friendly reminder that I write this more than a year later even if I stay "in character" when I type, with the mindset I had back then) but they did the whole design. It's not that visible but he as a snake tattoo in the neck, it was also requested. For the sponsors I put A.I.M because of Sam's History with them in comics, but also Sho-7 that I tend to hide in my Sam arts when I can (have fun finding the little chicken in my arts now). I re-used old sketches to draw this, it was way less expensive to them because I used already existing bases and it was a good occasion to use sketches I liked but didn't know how to use lol, it's fair. Getting paid to draw Sam is such a dream lol, thanks again!
