Adrenalize - In This Moment

Like I said with my previous art, I don't forget people who wanted a short jacket version because it's "sexier" and because I'm a nice lad I made it double (and even more sexier). Today is my Birthday and I enjoy sharing a sexy Sam art for this occasion each year. It was complicated to pull anything because I barely have time to sit on my computer and I'm sure I could have pulled something better with the coloring but I'm happy with it as it is. I decided to not share things I dislike anymore, even when I know they'll make numbers anyway. Mostly because I'm tired of redrawing anything out of spite a few months later lol but also because I want everything I share to be true to me, if that make sense. I want to be proud when I look at it and not feel the weird vertige you have watching something you didn't create out of love because of how "not like you" it looks. (please note I redraw my arts not out of hate but out of love, because I want them to have a long life and a second chance in some case)
I made comics Sam more slutty. I can argue (and maybe one day I'll do) for hours about how important it is to have a flirtatious Sam. It matches what he is about (charisma, temptation, Lucifer figure, manipulation, intelligence etc etc... You get the picture), it matches his personality (very playful and egocentrical). In fact he IS often somewhat flurtatious (mostly with men) in the way he touches people, talk to them. Let it be to manipulate them or on the opposite to mock them. He tends to have this "sexy" behaviors around people and given how he craves admiration and attention it does make sense.
People don't realize that because once in a while he's written as this very cold emotionless figure (similar to his MCU self) but in most case (and that's my fav versions of him), you'll see that his personality is way more "joyful" (in a very sinister way). He plays with his preys, his whole attitude is way more colorful and sassy.
So that's how I enjoy drawing him, sexualizing him is good for my own mental health and a lot of fun, of course, but it's also very in character like I said. He's very comfortable in his Leader body and he loves it a lot, it makes sense that he would kind of display it (and that's what he does through his insanely tights clothes when you think of it).
As for MCU Sam, it's the other way around, he's cold and he hates his body, so I gave him something less revealing. Even if he's more "emotionless" I made his pose still assured because while MCU Sam is that very gloomy depressed shadow, he's still very confident in himself. I made him more "Leader-ish", thus the orange shirt and the black goth collar and double belts on the biceps, but I kept the large blue sleeve mitten as an obvious callback to his MCU name Mr Blue but also because I wanted something "large". MCU Sam is mostly wearing large stuff, which adds a lot to that feeling of self-disgust and the need to hide (if you ever feeled insecured about yourself you get what I mean).
The first version didn't have a hood :

but I really didn't like it, it was too simple and not in the vibe of what I wanted, making comics Sam the center of attention. So I fully redrew it to make him a bit more "slutty" and more interesting. More dynamic also, because while he's movementless and emotionless it doesn't mean you can't add some dynamism. You can also see how the first versions of Comics Sam was less revealing but hey, I pushed the fun as far as I could lol

As for the color palette, the initial idea was to do a black light kind of vibe. It turned out to be slightly different but you can still heavily feel the main inspo. I wanted something very neon but make them a little darker to have their flashy green eyes more visible because, aaaah, it's so peak. I'm going back to my neon roots lately and it makes me very happy lol so it was kind of a "test" to see if I could still pull that. So until next time, enjoy~
