November and December Art Summary 2025

I didn't draw much in December so I decided to wait to post the November art summary to fuse them.

Believe it or not but this one is a COMMISSION (and I'm very grateful for it). I don't draw much comics Sam lately, MCU Sam took over my one braincell (I think I did say that already) and even less comics Samuce. This commission was a blessing for that. I love Bruce with his long hair, so of course I went for that. I've been doing a lot of "one color palette" kind of art lately, it look cool. I don't really have much to say about this art, I just wanted to do something sexy and somewhat "evil", with Sam being all confident and dom for once. I tend to draw him as a little bratty sub 'cause this guy wanna get layed and disrespected so bad, let's be honest. Everytime he develops a crush on someone it's someone who kicked his ass LOL. It was inspired by this quote from Immortal Hulk that I like a lot :

So it's kind of a "what if Sam got his good and faithful servant". In comics Sam is one of the only character who really take Bruce's DID into consideration. It's visible since it was introduced, he makes a difference between Hulk and Bruce. And between every Hulk. He knows Savage is a kid and talk to him/about him as such. He knows Joe is someone else etc etc... And he sees Hulk as merely a weapon, but with Bruce it's different. Everytime he talks to Bruce he talks about ruling with him, being by his side. He sees Bruce as an equal. The canon reason to that is because he sees a brother in Bruce, but I like making everything spicy and gay. Anyway :

Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein

I fucking LOVED Frankenstein. I'm a big big fan of Guillermo Del Toro's work since I'm in high school (so, what, 20 years now ?) and Frankenstein is my favorite book so obviously I was waiting this movie with almost the same excitation I had for Captain America Brave New World. It's a pure homage to Art as a whole. Not just cinema but painting, sculpting, photography, music. Every frame, every moment is a love letter to Art. Filled with a lot beautiful symbolics and messages. One of my fav symbol is the red. It's a recurrent one in Del Toro's projects, it means death. But not just death, life too and I suppose the reason to that is because there's no life without death. If you pay attention, when the creature is born, the machine making him turn red. Victor's gloves were red not just because he became a butcher, but also because he created life. His mother was red not just because she was dying but also because she created life and inspired Victor to create it too. I like the red scarf also, it had me think of a hanged man. I like to see is as a metaphor of Victor dooming himself through his nefarious obsession. So I wanted to draw something with this red. I added a bit of gold because of "the Sun (son) is life" part. That's why there's both red and yellow on the creature's flesh and eye and why the lights that gave him life are yellow as well. And the butterflies of course. Coming out the creature but also in the red ribbon's shape because in the movie it represents purity. But not in a conventional puritan way, it's the opposite. The purity of oddness, of going against what the World expect from you to be you. It's about free will in a World where it's forbidden to leave the box it made for you. Which is kind of the main message of Frankenstein, y'know, who's the man, who's the monster. There's a reason it appeals to the outcast, to people who feel rejected, misunderstood and lonely. We all have a bit of Elizabeth in us, no matter how much we embrace free will and ourselves, in the end we are still chained to some conventions. The butterfly represents freedom to her and so did the creature. I could honestly go on and on but I'd need a whole-ass post to talk about the book only, then the movie only 'cause there's just so much to say and its fandom has been an absolute delight for that, for once. I usually highly avoid fandom, it's a nest infested by teenagers who don't know shit about life but think they're all grown-ass adults already while making the fight of their life about some fanarts from people in their 30/40s because it's "problematic" or whatever. Everything must be fucking bland and boring and canon. You're not allowed some theories if it's not canon, you're not allowed some fun through fanarts or fanfictions if it's not canons or mention somewhat problematic issues. I miss the 2000/2010s fandom when we were just making dumbass high school AU with our fav characters as emo teenagers listening to Cascada and going to Disney World. Everything is now so serious (in a negative way) and rotten by the puritanism I was denouncing above. But the Frankenstein fandom is different (for now) and I think the reason to that is because of its communication. You see, if you're loud enough you get some gifts from the official Frankenstein accounts. And not small gifts, no, you get the expensive pop corn bucket skull shaped, the freakin' artbook, stuff like that. So it pushes Frankenstein's fans to not only be loud but be kind as well. They don't dunk on everything they dislike because they're too busy trying to get noticed and to get noticed you gotta love, not hate. It's a very smart move 'cause not only does it makes your project very popular and hyped, but it also clean its space. No drama, only a good com.

I had this silly idea in mind forever

I'm still struggling hard to draw a proper MCU Bruce, but for Sam I think I'm starting to really nail him even in very quick 5min doodle like this one. The hardest part for me was to properly get his nose. I love Tim's nose, I think it's one of his best facial feature so I tend to be extra harsh on myself to properly draw it. Which is complicated 'cause I'm used to give Sam a very thin pointy nose and Tim is larger and rounder. Like I said on another post, making simplistic arts of live action characters is hard af 'cause your model is a real person and it's hard to simplify the face of a real person and have it still recognizible. I can't achieve that with Bruce yet, he looks nothing like Mark Ruffalo (though to be fair I didn't really try either so far). But for Sam, I can do that without looking at pic of Tim anymore, everything I did lately kinda look like him, at least enough to have him recognizible. I'll have to force myself to do that for Bruce but MCU Sam is taking all my attention lately, even more attention than comics Sam, which I didn't know was possible. And it makes sense, I mean, I've been exploring, drawing, writing and talking about comics Sam for, like, 15 years and now I have a new version of him that is very new to me. I think I called it a "honey moon" somewhere else and that's kinda how it feels. Right now I only have eyes for MCU Sam because he's very new to me (also because he's insanely relatable to me so through him I can explore and express myself properly). Anyway, my headcanon is Sam having a thinner starving body because he probably was a few time. And even if he wasn't, I don't think he would eat that much. Depression, but also body pain, gamma poisoning. I wouldn't eat either honestly. While Bruce became fatter, because he had a better life. When Sam says "you're fatter" to Bruce it's not just a cold comeback to his dumb observation, it's also a bitter reminder of that. It's the idea I had in mind. I like when they ragebait each others in comics and certainly a romance between their MCU selves wouldn't be all cute and glitter and gay rainbows, it would be full of ressent as well. So at first I wasn't planning to do more than this doodle of Sam's sass and Bruce's clumsiness, it was enough to properly illustrate the problematics of their dynamic and the obstacles they would need to work on (yes, somehow it was that serious). But I did another small part anyway because, I don't know, the idea of Sam somehow comforting Bruce when he confronts him is an idea that grew in me. I think Bruce would need more reassurance than Sam on that matter. Sam is upset, he is broken in many way, but he is still confident in himself, in his goals, in his anger and intelligence. He doesn't need nor want to hear Bruce's comforting words about it. He is him and that's something Bruce has a hard time to accept because it would mean accepting he did this (indirectly). So in order to reassure himself, he keeps trying to tell Sam that he can be the man he used to be and he keeps trying to "fix" him without really taking the time to wonder if Sam would ever want to be the man he used to be again now. At some point, sure, he wanted, but now ? He can't and the reason he can't is not because of his difformed head and green body, in fact I'm sure if he was doing good (like saving the World with the Avengers or whatever) he would be welcomed back as a teacher and biologist. No, the reason he can't is because he cannot undo or forget what he went through, the tortures but also everything he discovered about corruption and humanity that had him wanting to reboot everything and going full evil. It's not just his own faith that made him this way, like I said in another post it's the very accepted violent injustices. Anyway, this idea of Bruce forcing Sam to be "normal" again is something I want to develop somewhere else where people will actually read my shit. It's a very important topic to me, as a disabled neuroA person who's only rewarded when I behave as whatever the valid norms call "normal". As always, I turned it as a joke. I didn't want it to be bitter, not yet, I keep that for later.

Peach (Mario Kart World)

There's a reason I posted all of them without talking. They're all redraws. Or rather fix of arts I made these past few months. I've been changing a lot lately, evolving in the way I think, behave and so ipso facto in the way I draw and I wasn't satisfied anymore with some recent arts, which annoyed be because being recent means they didn't really live. I don't mind not liking old arts anymore and not sharing them again when I already did for a few years, they lived. But when it's recent I can't accept it. I don't redraw out of hate, I redraw out of love. I redraw something because I want it to be loved and by that I mean loved by me. If other people love it in the process it makes me very happy, but I can't accept something highly loved if I don't. That Peach is the perfect exemple of that, people loved the first version more, it's one of my most liked art ever actually. But I don't. I don't like it for the reason everyone does. I don't like it because it wasn't me, it was just "Peach", very similar to the OG artstyle (and no, I won't reshare it, not even to show how it looks like), it was pointless, blend, empty. I did it as fast as possible to have visibility to get customers and I regretted already the moment I posted it. So I redrew it and I had people telling me "is it mean if I say I like the first version more ?" which is an absolute asshole thing to say by the way. If your sentence starts with "is it mean" "is it bad" "is it rude" then it is. You know the fucking answer already so why you still need to force me to hear it ? Second, you don't go to an artist and tell them "I like it better before", not only are you literally shitting on their progress and work, you're also telling them "I don't give a shit about you and your personal improvement and journey in Art, I want some blend shit of my fav character and you're merely a tool to me". You might not mean it, but that's what it means. I can't see it as more than some "satisfy me" ego trip. Don't fucking do that. Ever. If you wanna make some kind of dumbass comment on my PERSONAL arts, then you pay for it, like everyone else.

I already loved this commission when I did it some times ago. Because she's an absolutly pretty character from a girl I like a lot. So having the occasion to draw her again made me super happy. It's definitly one of the best thing I did in my opinion and that redraw is just absolutly fire. Here's a little now and before if you wanna see how much I improved through small details :

I always loved these arts with very cool folding on very large clothes. That's what I've been trying to improve lately and when I look at the now and then I see how I did already. Back then I thought my folding was ok, my details were ok. I'm happy to see how much more dynamic my arts can be and I'm super glad I had the occasion to give this art a second life, 'cause like I said below a redraw is a way to love it a second time, not a way to hate what you did in the past.

I have SO MUCH to say about this. Let it be the story behind, why I did it, how, the animation, the composition. I think I'll make a whole post dedicated to it in the upcoming days. You know that frieren meme ? The one about low angle that had the whole internet trying to draw and share tips about how to draw low angles ? Well it was born of it. It was supposed to be simply that. But you know me "Why not making it deeper and meaning feel and super personal to you ? And why not make it animated ? And why not add a small two page comics with it ?". So be patient, I'll go back to this very soon (I'll edit this post to add a link here once it's done).

I don't know, I just wanted to draw MCU Sam in this spectific pose. I love drawing his legs for some reasons. I guess it's because I spent so many years drawing Sam with big hips and a very hourglass body and now I have this very thin nerd and a whole new kind of body to explore (in AN ARTISTICAL WAY, I leave the exploring to Bruce) and draw. I always had a thing for characters with long thin legs, I blame Yu-Gi-Oh and CLAMP (and ultimatly Code Geass) for that.

MCU Samuel Sterns / The Leader

Like I said, I like to headcanon MCU Sam with a thin body, so I usually don't draw him with big pecs like that. But I also saw Bang Bang recently and Tim is fucking SHRED WHAT THE FUCK, HE IS FUCKING 61 (I think he was 59 when they shot Bang Bang but STILL WHAT THE FUCK) and I thought, weren't Bang Bang and Brave New World shooting close ? Do you think Tim had that body when he portrayed Sam ? This thought was enough to have me sketch this. Beside, I loved the "black and white sketch + one color blending to the art" so much I wanted to train.

It was the last commission of the year, I finished it at, like, 3 am to be able to take my break.

I wasn't planning to post commissions in my updates at first because it's less "personal", if that makes sense. But I changed my mind.

Big arts with a lot of characters are always very challenging, especially when their color palette is so different from one to another. It was to celebrate the non binary coming out of someone I deeply appreciate (congrats again mate !) so I put a lot of pressure on my shoulders to make it look as good as possible even when it's not enlarged. This kind of commission always scares the shit out of me because I tend to feel like I put less effort in it. I mean, you spend a shit tons of time on it because of different characters and so, as time goes by, you lose your interest in it. I still put as much effort as I would in anything I enjoy though, it's part of my work, but the feeling of drawing something you don't appreciate anymore makes me feel guilt and it makes me feel like I don't put enough effort to like it anymore. So for this art I tried to draw them all separatly instead of putting everything in one file, to have the feeling that I was still working on something new everytime I started working on another character. It was a very challenging order as I had to work with difficult poses and given the price I'm always scared it might not be "enough" for my customer. But they loved it. It was surprisingly appreciated on my social medias as well (surprisingly because people tend to not give much fuck about commissions unless it's fanart of popular things and here you have too many different franchise to have people care that much) so I guess I did well. I like it a lot, so I suppose I did.

And the last doodle of the year. I tend to give people a Samuce smoosh for Christmas, I didn't want to break that tradition. I wasn't planning to do shit for Christmas, honestly. I've been overworking way too hard these past months to be able to finish everything in time to have a nice and well deserved Christmas break (spoilers : I've been terribly sick during the whole time and almost ended up in hospital again so fuck me I guess, everytime I take a break it's more exhausting than actually working) so after finishing my last commission (the one right above, I post arts in chronological order in these posts) at 2 am the 23th of December, I needed to chill and what's best for that than doodling MCU Sam's tiny hips. At first it was just a doodle of Sam doing "urgh" in that first part, but I turned it into something more. A nice excuse to try to find a way to draw MCU Bruce also. It's very lazy so excuse the numerous anatomy mistakes and weird fingers. I said it a lot and I'll say it a lot again but I think MCU Sam would be insanely confident in this kind of situation because his stats and gamma brain have him know when and how to make the right move. Bruce, on the opposite, would be way too scared to try shit. Scared to hurt Sam, mostly, to upset him or whatever and Sam would just take this advantage to tease Bruce (not in a mean way, he's sassy and playful, it's in his gamma nature) and either initiating a move or pushing Bruce to do it by directly telling him "it's ok" in a grumpy annoyed way ('cause being a tsundere is also in his gamma nature). I didn't want to end with a kiss, I wanted to stop it at Sam saying he's still waiting because a Samuce is very sacred to me, it represents so much. But like I said, I've been giving that for years so enjoy but consider it "not canon" to my story of them lol And that's a wrap for 2025, looking forward 2026 which already started with some BANGERS. I have so much work in progress, it's uncanny. But I'm gonna try to allow myself more time to enjoy books, movies, video games, walks, touching some fucking grass. So until next time, enjoy~
